Steve is an experienced marketing professional with multiple successes in creating new markets and commercializing unique novel clinical diagnostic products in markets worldwide. At the Syva Company Steve planned and launched several pioneering immunoassays and automation for therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs of abuse testing. In molecular diagnostics, he has worked in management roles for Gen-Probe Inc., GeneOhm Sciences Inc., Becton, Dickinson and Company and Hologic Inc. At Gen-Probe, Steve led the initial development and introduction of the first integrated, fully automated high volume MDx instrument and managed a team that implemented the first NAAT HIV/HCV blood screening testing system with the ARC. At GeneOhm, he led a team planning and executing market development and commercialization of the first molecular assays for key HAI pathogens. While at BD, Steve was instrumental in strategizing, defining and launching a next generation automated molecular system. Steve has a B.S. in physiology and M.S. degree in human physiology and biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
